CONTACT LENSES

Wills Eye Physicians King of Prussia offers a wide variety of contact lenses using the latest technology to provide personal and effective eye care.

Who Needs Contact Lenses?

Contact lenses can be used to deal with a variety of vision problems and conditions, including presbyopia, astigmatisms, and nearsightedness or farsightedness. Vision problems can occur at any age, but some conditions become more common as you get older. Regular eye checkups can help determine whether contact lenses are needed and can catch problems early on, avoiding potential eye damage or discomfort.

How Are They Fitted?

A contact lens fitting is separate from a routine eye exam, so there is an additional fee for the fitting. During your fitting, your eye doctor will perform an evaluation of the fit, determine your required prescription and perform a corneal topography. If you are a first-time contact lens wearer or are switching between contact lens materials, your doctor will check the fit of your new lenses, test your vision and instruct you on how to insert, remove and care for your contact lenses.

How Can I Buy Them?

After your fitting, you will be able to purchase your contact lenses through our in-office optical shop. We offer competitive pricing, which may be less expensive than other retailers. We stand behind our contact lenses and offer a free replacement service on any ripped or defective contact lenses if purchased through our optical store. We also offer direct shipping on all contact lenses.

What Are the Types of Contact Lenses?

We offer a wide variety of contact lens options, which include daily disposables, two-week and one-month disposables (including silicone hydrogel contact lenses), planned replacement lenses, astigmatic lenses, multifocal lenses, rigid gas permeable lenses, and hybrid lenses. Some of these options are discussed below.

Silicone Hydrogel Contact Lenses

Silicone hydrogel contact lenses are among the newest kinds of soft contact lenses, utilizing the latest in contact lens technologies. These lenses transmit six times more oxygen than older generation contact lens materials, affording greater wettability. Alongside daily disposable contact lenses, silicone hydrogel lenses allow some patients with dry eyes to be fitted for contacts.

Astigmatic Lenses

We offer a number of options for patients who have astigmatism. Utilizing new and improved technology, our astigmatic lenses provide superior comfort while helping to improve your vision and deal with the symptoms of astigmatism.

Multifocal Contact Lenses

There are various multifocal contact lenses for new and current lens wearers who are having difficulty reading and would prefer to be free of glasses. As many wearers mature, they find themselves unable to read with their contact lenses because of a condition called presbyopia, which affects your eyes’ ability to focus. However, thanks to advancements in multifocal lens technology, the patient success rate has increased dramatically.

We are dedicated to providing you with optimal vision at all distances, and using monovision, soft multifocal lenses, and gas permeable lenses, we are now able to fit many patients with multifocal lenses who were not previously able to use them.

Gas Permeable Lenses

We are proud to offer a wide variety of custom gas permeable contact lenses, which can help treat various corneal problems, including keratoconus, an eye disease that affects the structure of the cornea. Gas permeable lenses are rigid contact lenses that allow more oxygen to reach the eye.
